Amelia Rose has also contributed to coffee table book, “Domino, Your Guide to a Stylish Home” and published book collaboration with photographer Melodie McDaniel called ‘Riding Through Compton.”

Most of her paintings are floral and are reminiscent of old fashioned botanical drawings with an added fresh and uplifting twist. Amelia explains, “ I love to create things that feel like they could have been found in an attic hiding between the pages of a beloved book or diary, like small treasures to be discovered and enjoyed.” She mainly works in water color and has originals as well as small batches of archival prints for sale along side her greeting cards that are each hand signed. She continues, "I love a nostalgic feel to things especially in art, that way it’s easy to feel the energy that comes from them.” Growing up with her whimsical mother and musician father meant either much travel on the road or long separations all of which were lovingly remedied by cards and letters from hotels and airports. A long time writer and receiver of wonderful love letters from friends and lovers alike she encourages us all to spread some love, take time to slow down, and send a card not a text !

“ I love to create things that feel like they could have been found in an attic hiding between the pages of a beloved book, like small treasures to be uncovered and enjoyed.”
